You cause the ground beneath the target to collapse and rise around them, partially burying them in earth and stone.

This Technique’s Success Roll is treated as a Ranged Attack Roll. On a hit, the target takes Bludgeoning Damage. This Technique cannot be Blocked, only Dodged.

This Technique works best against Medium and smaller targets. If the target is Large, reduce the Technique’s Hit Strength by 1.

This Technique gains an additional effect based on its final Hit Strength:

• HS 1: The ground shifts around one of the target’s legs before crumbling away. The target’s Movement Speed becomes 0 during their next turn, but they suffer no additional effects.

   

• HS 2: The earth rises around both of the target’s legs and holds firmly. The target becomes Entangled. The packed earth may be destroyed and has 3 HP.

   

• HS 3: The target is buried up to their waist in hardened earth and stone. The target becomes both Entangled and Staggered. The packed earth may be destroyed and has 6 HP.

   

After you stop maintaining Concentration, the earth loosens and crumbles away. At the start of each of your turns, each remaining section of packed earth takes 3 damage until destroyed.
