Wind Vortex
You surround yourself with a spiraling vortex of violent wind that howls around you with overwhelming force.
When you create the vortex, this Technique’s Success Roll is treated as a Ranged Attack Roll against all creatures in the area. On a hit, the target is pushed directly away from you up to 2 meters per Hit Strength. On Hit Strength 3, the target is also knocked Prone.
This attack cannot be Blocked, only Dodged. This Technique works best against Medium and smaller targets. If the target is Large, reduce the Technique’s Hit Strength by 1.
The vortex remains around you while you maintain Concentration:
The area within 2 meters of you counts as Difficult Terrain.
Medium and smaller creatures that end their turn adjacent to you are pushed 2 meters directly away from you. A creature may spend 1 Guard Point to ignore this automatic push effect.
Every Ranged Weapon Attack made against you reduces its Advantage Level by 1. Attacks that would not normally have Advantage instead suffer Disadvantage.
Ranged Weapon Attacks made against you or through the vortex have their damage reduced by half. If a weapon’s Piercing Critical Feature activates, that attack ignores this damage reduction.
